Utah Symphony

Dell Loy Hansen always looks for ways to support individuals within organizations. When meeting with Pat Richards, past interim president of the Utah Symphony, they discussed the unmet financial needs of the symphony. The unmet need that stood out to Dell Loy was the musicians’ salaries. He decided to provide a donation that would augment the musicians’ salaries.

Dell Loy knew that the musicians were the core of the symphony, and in order to maintain a strong core of musicians, they had to be properly compensated.

This donation has allowed the symphony to retain valuable musicians that make the Utah Symphony not only stand out in Utah, but compete with larger well-known symphonies all over the country. The Utah Symphony is an invaluable asset to the Utah community, and Dell Loy sees that very clearly; it was an easy decision to provide a sustainable donation through a charitable support trust that will continue to grow and support Utah Symphony musicians every year.
